RCHD creates cheat sheet for handling COVID-19

first_imgVersailles, IN—The Ripley County Health Department has created a “cheat sheet” on how to continue handling the COVID-19 pandemic. The Health Department reminds everyone that they should be:Washing your hands frequentlyCovering your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing with appropriate material (like tissue or handkerchief)Utilizing high standards of social distancingWear a mask if availableHave only ONE member of the household at a time go when making a run to the store for essential items.If you or someone in your household is pending a test:Try to recall close contacts of the patient for the last 7-14 days, in the event of a positive result, that information is valuable.Sequester the individual in the household if possibleAvoid close personal contact.If others in the household become symptomatic, contact your health care professional.If you or someone in your household is positive:Sequester those who have been in close personal contact with the patient.If you or a family member becomes symptomatic, inform your health care professional.Please be prepared with the patient’s list of close contacts over the last 7-14 days.
