Crawford Memorial Horse Racing Meet on September 23

first_imgThe Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Facility at Alness Village on the Corentyne Coast in East Berbice is scheduled to host a horse race meet on September 23; and currently, more than 40 entries have already been received for the card, which consists of six categories.There is the H & Lower race, which carries the most attract top prize of $300,000; the L2 & Lower race, which fetches a first place prize of $70,000; L1 & Lower race, with a prize of $100,000 for the winner; the J & Lower race, the victor of which would cart off $160,000; the L3 race, with a first prize of 50,000; and the Two-Year Maiden, which has a first place prize of $100,000. The entrants billed to compete include Chammaley, Not This Time, Party Time Orion, Kentucky Woman, Mary-Ann, Lucky Star, Gypsie Princess, Slim Shady and Baba Rosa; but there are many other horses billed to compete, and among them might be many of the proverbial dark horses.Entries will close on September 16, 2018.
