first_imgStoke have been put on high alert by the news that Andre Pierre-Gignac wants to leave Tigres and return to Europe this summer.The 30-year-old striker was part of the France squad which finished Euro 2016 as runners-up.He spent the tournament playing second fiddle to Olivier Giroud but came close to firing the team to the trophy in the final before Portugal sealed a 1-0 win after extra time.Now Gignac has turned his attention back to club football and, according to France Football, the forward wants to leave Mexico.The former Marseille man scored 28 times in 39 outings last term after his surprise move to Tigres last summer.However, he is now looking for a way out, and is understood to be on the radar of Stoke boss Mark Hughes.Gignac has two years remaining on his current deal, which includes a £20m release clause, but the Potters will hope to land him for a much lower fee.
